Needing advice on adoption..

Me (25f) and my boyfriend (23m) are looking into adoption. I unfortunately cannot carry my own children and we have decided that we are ready to bring in a baby.

We are located in Illinois and I am unsure on what all we need to do to start. Do we need an attorney? Who do we contact? We are so lost in all of this lol.

The only stuff I’ve found is price ranges and that we’ll have to take classes and have a home check, which isn’t a big deal.
