Can you manually precondition the battery before charging?

As far as I can google, the only way to make the battery precondition itself before charging in order to optimize charging speed is by turning on navigation to the charger? This seems quite inefficient as you then have to use the cars own navigation and not Apple CarPlay, which I much prefer and in a lot of cases I don’t need directions at all. Isn‘t there a way to get the battery to start warming up just by the touch of a button?
