Latest Iteration Fallacy and Logic Issue
The latest iteration of ChatGPT has been a huge step backwards in terms of logic, fallacy usage, not following prompts and responding in deceptive ways.
What I’ve noticed is that ChatGPT frequently reframes what I’ve said as a strawman fallacy to defeat it, or it will take a small part of something I said that is unrelated to the core of what I’ve said and defeat that, which in the context is a red herring.
I’m also noticing it quit remembering the longer context as well or selectively misremembers things, and doesn’t follow prompting as accurately. When I point out that it didn’t it sometimes responds in deceptive ways but always tries to reframe it to justify not following the promo. Then it keeps not following the prompt despite reminders.
It appears to have been coded to play devils advocate with everything, and it’s applied in inappropriate ways while wasting user time.
Bottom line is discussions on philosophy, religion, psychology, law and politics aren’t useful like they used to be.
I’m wondering if they are coding that in on purpose so people don’t use it for those purposes, but either way I deleted it and moved to Claude and Gemini permanently because it wastes too much time comparatively.
