Recs for bakeries and restaurants near Rogers Centre
My partner and I are from the east coast are going to be in Toronto for three days in May and have been planning where to eat. We visited last year for a quick trip and loved all the food we had! We will likely stay near the Rogers Centre since we are going to a Blue Jays game on one of the nights so I'd love to hear your favourites around that area, especially bakeries and coffee spots for the morning.
Last time we ate at Richmond Station, Sugo, and grabbed some items from the St. Lawrence market (Blackbird baguette and the whipped goat cheese with chili oil was so good!!) and we had great experiences with all of it.
Ideally we'd have one meal we'd consider pricey (around $150 each but can be a bit flexible) and then just fill in with a few more casual options. I'm also looking at places that are a bit further away.
Pricier:
-Liliana (the food looks fantastic here and I made a reso but could be persuaded elsewhere)
-Le Swan (love the vibe and menu looks up our alley)
-Barberians (seems controversial around here but we are suckers for an old school atmosphere and I've always wanted a classic steakhouse experience!)
-Linny's Steakhouse (seems to be very loved but might edging out of our price range)
Other spots I'm looking at:
-Hanmoto
-Badiali
-Birdies fried chicken
-Dumpling house (unless there's another rec for soup dumplings!)
-When the Pig Came Home
-Pai
This sub is truly a vast resource so I would love to hear your most recent thoughts, thanks in advance!!
