Backups and exporting

Hi can anyone on planet 🌍 help me back up certain chats from WhatsApp?

Issue:

1. I have chats both in android and iPhone

2. I want to save either the android or the iPhone one to my Mac in readable format.

3. I don’t mind even saving individual chat history if I can’t backup the whole thing.

4. I need everything- including videos and voice.

I have a Mac laptop and my hope is that if and when I transfer to another device then I can move my chats over as this was not possible before and my chats are that old. I want to be able to have just one version. As in iPhone or android and not lose the other one.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.
