AITA for snapping at my roommate after walking in on her taking a crap two days in a row?
Our house recently had a leak from the room that serves as a bathroom/laundry room, and the leak got out onto the carpet. The landlord came over and ripped up that section of the carpet and put one of those big industrial carpet drying fans underneath it. This fan is blocking the door from shutting in that room. Yesterday, I walked in on one of my roommates taking a shit in that bathroom with the door wide open. I didn't say anything then, I just let it go. Today it happened again! So I snapped at her- "Hey, if you move this fan literally six inches, you can shut the door and I won't have to walk in on you taking a shit every morning." She stammered "uh well uh I didn't know I could do that". Like, what? I saw this girl put together a complex piece of furniture that was more than 200 pieces, but she can't figure out how to move a 12lb fan? I am disgusted by her behavior and decision making, especially considering that we HAVE A SECOND BATHROOM that works just fine. AITA for snapping at her over something that seems so incredibly obvious to me? You can move the fan, poop, then put it back when you're done. It's so easy, and then you don't have to break the very very very common social rule about not using the bathroom with the door wide open.
She also said that the fan had her feeling "dysregulated", which as an AuDHD person myself, I do understand that, but to be clear even in my most dysregulated states I would never have just shat with the whole world as an audience. I would have walked 20 extra feet to use the other bathroom. This just seems like laziness and either being clueless about obvious social norms or not caring about them.
