Trying to make me apologize for what she did
Hello, everyone.
Some of you may have read my post about being kicked out of my mother’s house during new year’s lunch.
Long story short, I was pregnant, it was a high risk pregnancy, I had several bleedings, my mother was making things worse and I decided to gray rock during last year (pregnancy and pp).
I noticed she was getting madder throughout the year, she started to treat me bad even in front of other people. Christmas was her peak behavior and at new year’s lunch she exploded.
She kicked me out and she and golden child sibling threatened me.
After that, we lowered contact and almost don’t talk to each other. We still meet them sometimes at church, but it’s just hello goodbye.
She calls me just to talk to my kids and that’s all.
Yesterday was my wedding anniversary and she sent us a gift, as she always had, but the card said that “even during this silence, we are still a family”.
I sent her a message thanking for the gift and her response was just reacting with a ❤️.
I know she is trying to force me to apologize to her and live like nothing happened, but she is the one who should be apologizing.
What would you do in this situation?
