KEF Coda W (€890) vs Klipsch The Fives (€591)+WiiM(€343)
Greetings,
I bought my first apartment and looking for my first audio system. It will be used in the living room, both for home cinema and bluetooth audio streaming and later potentially record playing (I don't have yet have a system or records, but very interested in slowly building a collection).
TV will be an LGC5 55". Music I listen to is of a very wide variety: from Pink Floyd to Tool to Snarky Puppy to Buckethead, every everything in between. I'll even put up the occasional Biggie and also enjoy acoustic covers, you get the picture.
Currently listening music and watching films via my PC setup with ATH-M50XBT2 and AudioEngine 2A+, which is sufficient for a PC setup but looking for the big stuff in my new living room.
I watched a video on the KEF Coda W by Darko Audio and was sold right away because it's just 2 speakers and you're set. But I'm aware I'm new to this hobby and speakers like this make it difficult to update my setup. My room is also quite difficult with an open hallway. The Fives have a nice sale right now so I'm contemplating buying those with the WiiM for €934.
You can find photos of my living room here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/GwTGuSsJkDsXS74g6
The setup will be placed in the small space of the first photos (175cm wide x 60 cm deep) so room for speakerstands would be difficult, IKEA cabinets will be removed and replaced by whatever decent I can find, preferably with some storage space. I have already ordered full acoustic curtains so you can imagine those. I'm also open to adding acoustic panels.
Any advice is welcome, thank you!
