Anybody looking for a little bit of extra accountability and support as a first time business owner?
Hey everyone, it’s Alex again. I posted here a couple weeks ago about some of the ventures I’m working on and got some great conversations out of it.
Just wanted to give y’all a quick update. Since then I started a free founder community called First Ventures Collective and it’s grown to 68 members across LinkedIn and Reddit in about 2 weeks with zero ad spend. The caliber of people who have joined has honestly blown me away. We have founders from 10+ countries, members with backgrounds at companies like Shopify, TikTok, JPMorgan, NASA, and Zendesk, people holding MBAs from Harvard, PhDs, law degrees, and certifications like CISM, CISA, and ISO 27001.
We’ve got patent holders, published authors, and someone who was named one of Vogue Greece’s New Talents for 2025.
The group covers everything from app founders and SaaS builders to fintech, AI, blockchain, accounting, hospitality, and more. Some members are pre-launch, some are generating revenue, and some have already been through multi-million dollar acquisitions.
The whole idea is simple: real founders helping each other. Honest feedback, accountability, sharing what’s working and what’s not. No courses, no gurus, no pitching. First monthly call is coming up this month.
If anyone here is looking for a little extra accountability and support, the subreddit is r/1stVenturesCollective. Open to anyone who’s actively building. We also have a smaller private LinkedIn group (capped at 50) for deeper accountability and monthly video calls. DM me if you’re interested in that side.
