Audio and Subtitle adjust - Android TV

Is there any possibility that the native Android TV app will gain the ability to adjust subtitle and audio delay? It's possible to do it in the browser, as well as in the WebOS app. I tried using VLC as an external player, but it didn't recognize the subtitles.
