What is the difference between a psychic and a medium?

I want to get information by showing someone a picture of me (or the birth date). For example what happens right now in my life, if something recently happened, if a person thinks about me from the past, will I find new love soon etc.

Who is the person I should go to? To a psychic or a medium?
