I’m a 21F currently studying Computer Science (Cybersecurity concentration) in the US. I’ll be graduating next year , mostly Dec 2027. I’ve lived outside India since I was 16.

In the US, I’ve been feeling extremely disconnected and the environment just doesn’t feel right for me long‑term.

I don’t have close friends or family support in India either, but I still feel more mentally stable there. I’m hardworking and willing to start from scratch if needed.

My background

• B.Sc. in Computer Science (Cybersecurity focus)
• Honors student
• Work experience in database management, metadata and archival systems

My Situation

I don’t have much financial savings back in India. For my university here in US, I have scholarships, so no financial pressure so far. I have a US checking account , since I work on campus— can I transfer that little amount to India ?

For someone with a CS/Cybersecurity background, which city would be the most practical in terms of:

• Job opportunities (IT, cybersecurity, SOC roles, entry‑level tech)
• Lower cost of living
• Better for someone introverted and starting fresh

I’m considering:

• Hyderabad
• Bangalore
• Pune

If anyone can answer either of these questions , it would be a huge help to me. thank you

• Which city should I target after graduation
• How much savings I should ideally have before moving
• Whether my cybersecurity background is enough to get an entry‑level role
• Should i start applying jobs from here to land job in India by 2028,
• Which sites should i look into and what more should i do ?
• Any steps I should start taking now to prepare
