just a general question

i see that a big chunk of pirates are from the US or Europe, and my question is why would you even pirate games if your living in either of them?? like a fully priced game would probably set you back like 1-2 shifts of working at a mcdonalds or something and yeah it's no big deal if you cycle between a lot of games or have other priorities for the money but most gamers either are still too young and live with thier parntes or on old gamer that is already married and stable financially and just does it for passion and still it's not a big deal but pirating is illegal in pretty much all of Europe and the US and just downloading one game would give you a fine of MUCH more than what the game originally costs

( i'm not posting this to hate on US and EU pirates i'm just wondering why would you take the resk when you could just buy 1-2 games for like 8 hours worth of labor )
