Botox injection migraine still ongoing day 4

I’m really frustrated bc I don’t know if I’ve done something wrong or I’m not reacting well to the Botox or it’s just the weather plus achiness from the Botox.

I did my first round of Botox for my NDPH on Thursday- forehead area, temples, shoulders, neck- the whole set. And my neuro gave me the general guidelines- like I’d probably get a migraine the day of, take my abortive, and don’t lay down for 3-4 hours or wash my hair for 24 hours. Nothing super hot for 48 hours. Ice is fine.

So I followed that- I even avoided NSAIDs 7 days before to be extra cautious. And I feel like crap- my injections are so achy when I lay my head down and on my temples and neck and eyebrow. I’ve had horrific migraines for 4 days- the last two days probably were worsened by the weather dropping from 70 to 50 degrees and storming.

But it really really making me question if I ever want to do this ever again. I’m already in constant pain from chronic illness and my ndph- I didn’t want WORSE pain. My mom says it’ll be worth it if cuts down days later on- but for me idk if it is worth it if the first few days make me feel crappy.

I know my injection sites aren’t red or swollen or injected- they’re healing fine. I’m just sore and achy and the migraine- for the love god, the migraine has intensified since day 1. Maybe it’ll be better in 7 days of this. But geez.

I don’t think I’m like having a bad reaction in like I need to call my neuro or go to the er. And I certainly will never ever go and get a migraine cocktail- they don’t work and make me get akathesia like tear my iv out antsy and I hallucinate on Benadryl.

I’m just so freaking achy and sore and everyone else’s stories I read it was like one to two days and they were solid. Idk if it’s bc I have NDPH not chronic migraine so maybe my nerves are extra pissy?
