EWS Certificate Doubt (New Financial Year) + Admission Query

Hey everyone,

I have a doubt regarding the EWS certificate and would really appreciate some guidance.

Since the new financial year has started (2026–27), can I still use my 2025–26 EWS certificate, or do I need to apply for a new 2026–27 certificate? The issue is that getting a new one takes quite a lot of time.

Also, I have another question:If I filled the application under the EWS category but somehow I’m unable to get the certificate on time, and I clear the cutoff — can I still get admission under the general category, or will my candidature be rejected?

Would really help if someone who has faced this or knows the process can clarify 🙏
