What happened to the scalpel?

In freelancer I'm certain I used to be able to get a scalpel right next to the stethoscope, I'm close to unlocking the infirmary [where I can craft syringes I think] so I'm using the cosmetic reskin of the room that you have unlocked for a long time before that.

(I would be using the Eminem cosmetic one but I didn't know it would be time limited and I wasn't playing the game at the time; I hope they bring it back so that I can immediately buy it not waiting for a sale like they did with the Bruce Lee pack. I am a little miffed that's clearly what they're doing with the Bruce Lee pack, but ironically - I want them to do the same thing with the Eminem pack, just so that I don't have to be incomplete. Unfortunately I doubt I'll ever get the Connor McGregor gym.)

So yeah does anyone know if they said something officially about removing the scalpel? I saw some discussion from 1 year ago about someone no longer having it while someone else commented that they still had it. I have tried switching back and forth to the original medical room, no luck there.

If you have any thoughts, even just theories or thoughts about my parenthetical paragraph, please comment.
