Bar of soap went down the toilet, looking for advice.

Was cleaning the toilet when a bar of soap fell off the windowsill and went straight down the toilet/drain.

I first tried plunging it, but that didn’t help. Then I bought a toilet auger/snake and ran that down the toilet. When I feed the snake in, it feels like I’m hitting something hard, not something soft like a bar of soap. I turned the handle a few times, and when I pulled it back out there was some soap residue on the end.

After that, I tried pouring hot water into the toilet to help dissolve the soap. I’ve poured about 2–3 buckets so far, and the water drains after I pour it. The toilet does still flush but it is very slow.

At this point I’m just looking for any advice on what else I can try before calling a plumber.
