Wipers and Dash Lights: Possibly Dealing with 2 Mechanic Shops

2009 Nissan Rogue S AWD 170,950 miles.

In February I got my alternator and belt replaced at a mechanic 15mi from my home - I am not sure if it’s still under warranty…?

This past Friday (4/3) while driving my battery dash light and emergency brake light came on for 10mins. Battery isn’t 2yrs old yet and on that same Friday AutoZone battery test resulted in normal and 100% charge.

Then, my back window wiper lost a screw and popped off yesterday (Saturday), the mechanic 1.8miles from my home was able to order replacement and told me to come tomorrow (Monday) to put it on after I get off work.

However, after I left to do an hour of driving for errands, the same two brake and battery dash lights came back on and stayed on for my 30mins. drive home. My car has been parked in my driveway since.

I guess I am at a loss on how to navigate this. If I need a tow, do I bring it to the mechanic further away (i wont know if i have a warranty until i call when they open tomorrow) or just tow it to the mechanic closer who is already expecting me tomorrow afternoon? Honestly, Im afraid to tow it to the shop 15miles away just to find out warranty cant help me. I feel like im living a double-wammy. Happy Easter 😞
