Do professors not check for AI anymore?

Rant

This is getting absurd. How am I meant to engage in a discussion post when it's entirely robots talking to each other. It's not even hard to tell because they all say the same thing, reiterate the assignment, and cite the textbook incorrectly. And even worse are the people who try to 'humanize' their ai by shoving slang in there. THIS IS AN ACADEMIC ASSIGNMENT you cannot use the word like every two words, it's impossible to read and you sound like a dumbass. It doesn't even help because when I put them in GPT zero they come back 100 percent AI.

How did these people make it into college??
