How would've you wrote Rosalina's role in the movie?

Alright, so no matter how much you like or dislike the movie, I think the point we can all agree on is that Rosalina was done dirty. That shouldn't even be a debate.

So, without changing some things of the movie such as her and Peach being sisters, how would you have handled or wrote Rosalina differently than what we have now?

Me personally, this is actually something I go back and forth with as I've been thinking about it recently because on the one hand, I can understand why the writers went with her being captured due to how quickly the movie would end (this was the case in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope). Even though she isn't a goddess like some people like to claim, her power level is definitely not near that but she's still powerful despite all that. But even then, I still think she could've been more proactive in some way.

Then there's another plotline that I think could've been made about a Grand Star being the power source for Bowser Jr's Boomsday weapon, yet one part of me feels like that would've been too similar to the plot of the first movie but another part of me thinks that it would be a nice parallel to Bowser retrieving the Superstar in movie 1 and now his son has something similar but much more powerful than that, and possibly also linking Rosalina's power being further amplified by the Grand Star and with it being stolen, her powers would be significantly weakened, so there's more of an incentive for her and the Lumas to go to the Mushroom Kingdom, and she can also come along on the adventure.

Like, you could have the Comet Observatory at the beginning of the movie already above the Mushroom Kingdom as the Lumas want to be traveling there due to a Starbit Comet traveling by the planet soon, and Rosalina also wants do the same so she can check on Peach from a closer distance than she normally would due to her fear of being tracked by the evil force mentioned in their backstory for their powers. Then you could have the Megaleg fight play out the same way, but Rosalina gets incapacitated instead of captured, and Jr and Kamek both take the Grand Star fueling the Comet Observatory away for the Boomsday Weapon, and possibly any Luma who tries to retaliate as hostages.

In a way, I can understand how the writing team ran into this hurdle, because even this is breaking my brain in some ways, but I still feel like something could've worked without comprising Rosalina's role.
