Since moving out my childhood cat has become very distant

Advice

I moved out of my parents house to an apartment back in December, due to my mental health being so bad I physically couldn't live there anymore, even if it was helping financially. due to not wanting to go see them, I rarely do, and thus when I see my cat who's about 7 now, he's distant. rarely blinks at me, sniffs my hand but never goes in for head scratches anymore, acts like petting him is making him uncomfortable, and never gets up to greet me like would always do. it saddens me to no end, but I don't blame him, I basically left for no reason to him, and my parents are not cat people, so he's not had much help adjusting to my absence. I just feel bad for him, and wish there was a way to repair our bond. He's not alone, he has a sister and she is chill with me still, but she's always been secluded, even when I was closest with her she rarely was seen, but she still showed deep affection. I'm just bummed that I seem to have cause such a rift.
