Is there a NEED for me to UPGRADE?
I have a ZOOM G3X Multi effect unit/pedal stompbox for 10+ years. It doubles as a USB interface, I have recorded hundreds of tracks for my Youtube channel.
It works well. I wish to record my original music within home studio parameters, practically speaking.
..
The specs of the interface are:-
Sampling Frequency: 44.1 kHz,
Usb Audio Converter Rate: 16-bit
Direct monitoring/Zero-latency recording
A/D Conversion: 24-bit with 128x oversampling.
Signal Processing: 32-bit floating point & 32-bit fixed point
QUESTION ❓
The prosumer standards have moved on to 24 bit & above (16 bit used to be CD quality?). I've read that the 16 bit limit affects the degree of decline in quality after mixing & mastering. Many budget interfaces offer 32 bit/192khz now.
WILL IT MAKE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE? especially since I'm already operating on budget equipment around it.
Thanks.
