Hurry Up Tomorrow

Disclaimer: I’m not trying to make this post about religion. I just wanted to share an experience that I had recently.

One of my really close friends from high school lost her mom about seven weeks ago & then her grandma passed away the next day. Their services were supposed to be the following week, but were postponed due to the Blizzard/the three feet of snow we got here in Rhode Island, & rescheduled to a couple of weeks ago (they were both cremated). With that being…after hearing the gospel reading the priest chose to read as well as the homily he delivered, for reference the mass was held at a Catholic church, both were very beautiful…I have a new appreciation & understanding of the underlying message Abel was trying to deliver in this album, it give the album a whole new meaning for me. I was able (no pun intended) to directly compare the priest’s homily with what Abel was ultimately saying in HUT. It resonated with me after hearing the priest’s words.
