Windows Update Keeps messing up my GPU drivers...
Had this happen too often. It randomly causes my monitor to lose signal in the middle of gaming, causing my monitor to just turn black even though the system is still running and I can still hear the music through my headphones. Unplugging the cables doesn't work. only thing to do is force shutdown my pc then restart. this makes my pc regain signal, but then the display is all messed up with the wrong resolution, putting it at like 1024x720??? (don't remmebr the exact numbers, but super zoomed in and pixelated). it messes up my driver, because now AMD compatibility tool says I have the correct driver. even after uninstalling and reinstalling AMD adrenaline to install the correct driver for my gpu, it says that it cannot open because it is not compatible. yesterday when it happened, updating windows 11 helped, but today it's not working and doing the thing where the AMD driver is not compatible again. any ideas why windows is causing a driver error, and how to fix it?
