Sooo…

Sooo.. I don’t know if this is the right group to post this in but I’m looking for some advice. I’ve known that I had celiac since I was a baby and was very strict when I was a kid, started to cheat quite a bit as a teenager and then became vegetarian in my college years which lead me to eating gluten almost everyday because most good vegetarian meat substitutes have gluten. I am now 24 and “cheat” every now and then and don’t really verify if something is 100% gluten free before eating it, if I see it’s not breaded I assume it’s fine. When I do eat gluten knowingly, I get bloated and potential stomach ache but nothing extreme. My parents brought up the idea to my childhood doctor about getting retested but they said it was a pretty intense test and that i would probably still have the same result of having celiac. I guess my question is if anyone has ever dealt with this before ? Has anyone ever gotten “retested” and found a different result ? Or am I internally killing my intestines? I was tested in the early 2000s which I know was not that long ago but I know celiac / gluten intolerance was newer in that time.
