Tbh I loved having a "girls" childhood
Just a random thought that came across my mind earlier today... But I'm actually really glad that I got to have a "girls" childhood.
I was browsing Pinterest (I freaking love Pinterest) and it decided to show me a bunch of super nostalgic pictures, cartoons and toys and games from my childhood, and it got me thinking... Man, "girls" stuff was honestly the best back then LOL. I'm so glad I got to have fun with it. The fake make-up and play shoes... The Barbies, Bratz, Littlest Pet Shops, Ponies, Fairies. Moshi Monsters, Squinkies, ZhuZhu Pets. Anybody else remember ZOOBLES? Looking back, weren't all of these, like... The most cutest most awesome things ever??
When I look back on "boys" toys from when I was a kid, I honestly don't think any of it compares. I just remember a lot of it being action figures, or cars, or dinosaurs or whatever, none of which I cared about at all, not to mention it never looked visually appealing. (I LOVE BRIGHT COLORS). And why was so many "boys" toys so GROSS? I remember there being a lot of toys surrounding gross stuff like boogers, or farts, throw-up, general bathroom humor. ICK. Why would I want to play with boogers?? The only "boy" things that ever appealed to me at all was Pokemon and Sonic.
Am I the only one who can relate to this? Even as an adult I can't really name any "masculine" interests that appeal to me at all. I'm forever drawn to the cute and cuddly and pink and sparkles.... Lol, I vividly remember at my appointment to start HRT, my doc asked me "What changes are you most looking forward to?" And I said "Becoming bigger and stronger... So that I can hold and protect more cute cats!"... This sentiment has not left me!
On the outside I am a typical dude, but on the inside I am a 5 year old little girl playing with my barbies, and honestly I'm okay with that
