is a couch worth investing for home comfort?

At my sister’s new apartment setup I started thinking seriously about buying a couch. At first it seemed like a central piece for both comfort and style. Local furniture stores had many options but most looked either overpriced or less comfortable. I thought having a good couch could transform the living area completely.

But I remembered buying a sofa before that looked appealing in the store but ended up sagging quickly and feeling uncomfortable. That experience was disappointing and made me more cautious. Even small factors like cushioning, fabric quality, and build durability started to matter more.

To explore better options I began researching online. While casually scrolling online marketplaces including alibaba I saw many couches in different sizes designs and price ranges but I am not sure if I should buy one because of my past experience. Some looked plush and sturdy while others seemed fragile or low quality.

Now I am wondering whether investing in a higher quality couch is truly worth it or if a moderately priced option is sufficient. Has anyone purchased a couch recently and found it both comfortable and long lasting?
