I have an eclectic collection of some 300+ watches garnered over a considerable number of years. I choose a watch to acquire firstly and simply because it appeals to me esthetically and horologically, it has particularly utility to me, it is of of perceived quality, and if the price is acceptable! At my age, I have little concern for any status implications of any watch or individual brand. I read many comments on Reddit manifesting hostility toward this or that watch brand, including Stuhrling. I am not blind to the MSRP practices among various some brands. However, there are more egregious practices employed elsewhere. I am considering addressing those brands and practices in the future.

This Stuhrling model is an "aviator/pilot-style" or "flieger" watch. All flieger watches take inspiration from classic and military aviation instrument design and this model is no exception. Despite efforts to label this watch as an homage, it does not copy any individual watch. This aviator watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement, housed in a 44mm x 9.7mm, round, stainless-steel case; stainless-steel fixed bezel, stainless-steel screw-down, branded caseback, stainless-steel, push/pull, fluted crown with Stuhrling S logo; round, black, textured dial with date window at 3 o'clock, red-tipped central second hand, bold, white Arabic numerals, luminous hands and markers, vertical day-of-the-week display with red dot indicator; "Krysterna" crystal (a hardened mineral crystal); 22mm, brown, riveted, thick, comfortable, genuine leather strap with brushed, stainless-steel tang buckle with Stuhrling wings logo; 100 Meters water resistance.

I acquired this watch 3-4 years ago, it has functioned perfectly during that time.
