I might not graduate despite a strong academic holding

General Advice Needed/Given

Alright, so I’m in the top 10% of my class and I have taken multiple APs within my four years of high school. I never really struggled with turning things in on time either, if I did it’d be because of something like a school trip and I’d remind the teacher beforehand.

Senior year we have a project we need to do in order to graduate, basically filling out categories that showcase a different trait/skill, and you explain why you have that skill using evidence (IE Past assignments).

So I did (Or I thought I did) all of that a month or so before the deadline. It wasn’t too bad for me either. So I’d be chilling for the rest of the year, right?

Well my friend told me a few days ago that his project got graded as complete (A few days after it was due) and he earned that credit for graduation. He showed it all to me, from the intro to the conclusion.

Then I realized something. MY DUMBASS DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE/COMPLETE THE CONCLUSION SLIDE. Didn’t see it before or anything when I was doing the project, idk how I never noticed until that point when the project was already due. At that point I unsubmitted my project, and did the conclusion slide in less than a minute, and submitted it.

However, it’s technically marked as late and my status to graduate and get my diploma is in jeopardy. All because of ONE stupid slide. It’s also worth noting that someone from the BOE is gonna be randomly chosen to grade this, not any of my teachers or whatever. Definitely gonna own up somehow to it since it’s my fault at the end of the day, but should I email my administrator to get this sorted out? Anything else I should explain?
