Isnt the rank distribution and matchmaking broken ? Or just me

I played the game last year had 50-60 hr. I redownloaded again. First game avg rank was seeker. 2. game alchemist. 3. and 4. game ritualist 5-6. And the last 2 game people playing like smurf. Its weird af. After those game i checked rank distribution and it was so bad. There are 10 rank and every rank has almost even. How is that possible ? These happening beacuse of first 5 or 10 placement match or there isnt any placement i dont undersand pls elp
