Conglats LOLUNTEERS!
A bit early to be hitting the college baseball loop, but when an LSU hitter makes a new tier of school record, it's getting mentioned.
Bottom 3rd: OH NO, LSU SUCKS AGAIN! Three errors, a catcher getting knocked the fuck out on one of them, and a grand slam aided and abetted by those errors, any of which would have ended the fucking inning, puts LSU down 5-0 to Tennessee. Game over, right? RIGHT?
Top 4th: LSU strands the bases loaded on a John Pearson strikeout. With this sadly familiar power outage in 2026, yeah, game's probably over.
Top 5th: Oh yay, got one back. Cade Arrambide goes yard. You'll be hearing his name some more.
Top 7th: Back (John Pearson). To Back (Cade Arrambide Redux). To Back (Seth Dardar). It's 5-4 Tennessee, as now the power outage has transferred to their bats.
Top 9th: LSU ties it without leaving the yard, we go to extras at 5-all.
Top 11th: Cade Arrambide completes the trilogy, his third solo home run of the day makes it 6-5 Tigers. Just have to hold on...
Bottom 11th: Oops. A Levi Clark sac fly ties it back up at six, we continue on.
Top 12th: EVERYTHING (Orange) DIES. Ten runs on seven hits, with Cade Arrambide's school record FOURTH home run of the game, this time a grand slam, being the one to blow Tennessee's bullpen and remaining crowd out into the parking lot. Or nearby bars. After that it was some old-school seal clubbing, and by the time someone could actually record the third out we had our final score: LSU 16, Tennessee 6.
-For the day, Arrambide went 5/6 with 4 HRs and 7 RBI.
-Evan Blanco, who started for Tennessee and put up a solid 6 1/3 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 6 K, 2 BB line, gets let down by a bullpen that finished with 5 2/3 IP, 15 H, 14 R, 4 K, 1 BB.
