Valid ba ang salary increase or delulu lang ako?

Working na ako for 7 months with a US client and I'm planning to ask for an increase (today 😭).

Na-hire ako as bookkeeper but for the past two weeks nagstart na maging Finance Manager yung responsibilities ko. My client relies on me for decisions and insights, and said my role is one of the most important at this time since we struggled with cash flow. I went the extra mile by giving a lot of recommendations and he liked them so much that I'm now given the responsibily to execute them. lol.

I'm up for the challenge. And I plan to send a detailed action plan then if they approve, I'll ask for a raise to realign my compensation with the expanded role.

Pero since I'm a newbie (I have technical knowledge that helps them a lot, but still lack experience), I'm planning on asking for below the market rate for Finance Manager role, just to compensate lang sana for the additional scope and responsibilities. (Thinking of ‘asking for $500-$650’ since $500 ang target ko. But it will be 2.5x more than my current bookkeeping monthly rate of $200, so I'm not sure if it's unreasonable.)

I don't know if this is valid. Ilang araw na masakit ulo ko kakaisip kung ipupush ko ba or delulu lang ako at baka ikawala pa ng work. hahaha help

Kung delulu lang ako, please *kindly* knock some sense into me, bago ko pa masend yung message ko sa client which could be the end of me 😂🥲
