Goodbye Hoka, Welcome Back Asics
After wearing Hokas for probably the last 10 years, I finally decided to switch back to ASICS. I’ll give Hoka credit because the comfort and support were always really good for me. But the last couple pairs I had just didn’t seem to hold up as well as the older ones. The durability and overall quality felt like it dropped off a bit.
I used to wear ASICS years ago and always liked them, so I started looking for something similar to the Hoka Gaviota. I ended up getting the Gel Kayano 32 mostly for walking and some light jogging, and so far I’m really liking them. Very comfortable and the support feels solid. If anyone is coming from Gaviotas and looking for something similar, these seem like a pretty good alternative.
