Probationary Period Extended After Maternity Leave

Hi, asking for insights.

Got promoted May 2025 to managerial position - with 6 months probationary period before becoming "fully pledged" as what the company said in the employee movement letter. I got pregnant same year and have to be in maternity leave.

Now im back to work and my probationary period has to be extended as per my immediate superior as I just returned from ML.

I love my job aside from the fact that it helps put food in our table. I just can't help but feel sad and discriminate somehow. Or is this is some postpartum blues that shall pass 😓
