Overeating habit after methane SIBO

To those of you who had Methane SIBO and were constantly hungry - how did you overcome the habit of overeating after being cured?

Context: I had Methane SIBO throughout 2024 (didn't even know I was sick for 5 months, just thought I was insanely hungry). I was hungry every single minute of the day and would eat three plates at each meal plus snacks in between. I'm slowly losing the weight I gained. I used to be naturally thin and never thought about food that much.

Even a year after being cured of Methane SIBO, I find myself eating until I'm too full, and being afraid of the feeling of hunger - as previously I couldn't become satiated no mater what or how much I ate.

I'd really like to go back to my old self, where I ate food when hungry but wasn't preoccupied with it. Advice?
