Aliens stole my package!
I had an outstanding subscribe and save order that's scheduled for April 3rd. I ordered a bunch of stuff for next day delivery on April 1st. Two items from that April 1st order show up on the 2nd like they should. The rest of the items are nowhere to be seen. Today the status changes to "delay in shipping your package." And the status of another item that was damaged in transit and had been "Unable to deliver" changes to "arriving today", it doesn't. It's annoying, especially with the next day delivery things. So I reach out to customer service to find out why it's delayed.
First rep tells me it's because the items aren't at the local distribution center so it takes longer to get to me. I point out that they hadn't even shipped yet, now they are out of stock, but he'll open a ticket for me and when things arrive I'll get a full refund. I checked later, all the items were in stock, with next day delivery.
Call for service this time. Second rep tells me my payment wasn't accepted. I point out that two items arrived and Amazon issued the gift card balance that she was claiming wasn't accepted, so there's no chance it's not valid. Then it's not delivered because the warehouse lost it and she needs to transfer me to the shipping team. I know what happens next, and yep, she hangs up on me.
Third rep tells me that payment went through just fine and things didn't arrive because they were from a third party seller and they didn't ship them. "Yes, but some of those were sold by Amazon, and all of them are fulfilled by Amazon and they all have Amazon tracking numbers." Now I'm on hold again, while she talks to her team lead. At this point I don't believe any of them. Next time it's going to be aliens stole it.
Better yet, they will certainly be shipped and delivered by the 10th. If they do not arrive by then they will give me a refund. If I reorder, all I have to do is reach out and they will certainly give me a refund for that. Final story is that our local distribution center is having technical issues right now and can't scan packages. That actually makes sense because another package that was due to be delivered is just sitting at the distribution center. For the record, making people deliver packages on Easter Sunday is awful, even if you don't celebrate it. She processed a $30 credit, so maybe she's not lying?
I'd switch to Walmart but they're just as bad. Bought a $900 laptop for work, signature required. The delivery driver left it on the front steps of our office building and drew a line for a signature, no photo taken. It's 10 feet more to our office door. Walmart said they were very sorry. They all stink.
