Turkish History/Modern MENA Conflicts

History

I recently was in Turkey and noticed quite a bit of pro Palestinian messaging around the country because of the obviously worsening situation in the Middle East. Quite a bit of it was about ending the Israeli genocide/apartheid or was along the lines of supporting human rights on a larger scale.

While obviously this is a morally good message, how does modern Turkish culture view the genocides committed against ethnic minorities by the Ottomans/ethnic Turks historically? I saw a lot of overt ethnic nationalism as well, including very pro-nationalist/ethnic sentiment in Istanbul (was surprised because I thought it was a pretty modern/relatively progressive city). How is the Greek genocide/armenian genocide taught in turkey, and how do history classes talk about Turkish settler colonialism in Anatolia?
