Book Soup event Tuesday night: 1970s LA memoir about leaving Jehovah’s Witnesses + friendship with Michael Jackson

Darls Centola will be in conversation at Book Soup on Tuesday, April 7 at 7pm about her memoir, Finding Truth with Michael.

It’s a coming-of-age story set in 1970s Los Angeles about questioning and ultimately leaving a Jehovah’s Witness upbringing, losing an entire social world, and figuring out who you are on the other side. Her close friendship with Michael Jackson runs through that period, with real stakes for both.
