Mexico tier resort experience in America?

Hello, we have been to beach resorts in cancun and cabo and really loved it, but we're curious if something similar exists in the US, particularly Texas or Florida. I know all-inclusives don't really exist in the US and thats fine, but are there any places that at least do the big nice hotel near the beach thing with NICE pools? seems like small hotel or apartment tier pools are the standard with american seaside hotels, but we really enjoy having big, nice pools to lounge around in all day.
