It’s time for the Pelicans to relocate

Basketball is just not doing well in New Orleans. It’s the smallest market in the league, ownership is unserious about running the team and has no interest in putting together a contender, and the team has just never been good. New Orleans population is also declining and many other cities would be a better place. My picks:

Kansas City: after expansion, they’re the next one up in who should get a team. Great basketball city, rapidly expanding metro area, nba ready arena, and solid place overall.

Vancouver: would be cool for the nba to come back here, great city and would do much better than their first team

Louisville: nba ready arena, don’t know much about if the city is even nice but they almost got the Grizzlies when they relocated so I think the city could easily support a team

San Diego: already a top 3 city in the country, would be cool to have a team here

Omaha: I’m gonna zag on this one and suggest this. Booming metro area that’s on par with OKC in terms of population so could easily support a team
