Should we move to EU from Canada?

Hi bros

My husband and I are a married couple with a 15-year age gap, currently exploring a move to Europe. He has a background in IT and teaching and is looking to transition into semi-retirement soon. We are both bilingual IT professionals and both hold EU passports; however, it’s been a long time since he lived in Europe, and I’ve never lived there long-term.

Between the rising cost of living and today's crazy geopolitics, I’ve been romanticizing the idea of living in a small European town with mild weather and easy access to nature,a wish I haven't had the chance to realize yet.maybe never will.

For those who have moved from Canada or the USA to the EU (or moved back after a long time), what was your biggest regret, culture shock, or recommendation? I'm not looking to start a comparison or a useless argument,I'm just looking for ideas and shared experiences.

Thank you

PS: sorry folks for the vague EU , i really meant somewhere i can work with my english and french without needin to learn a learn language, though we re always open to learn and adapt the culture. and i agree with most of you, the problems are the same, the nature is probably more untouched here but you still live in the city and need lots of travel , plus it is far to other part of the world, especially to our families, so i guess this is the underlying reason, if not australia could ve been an option:) .thank you again
