iPhone 15 stuck in recovery mode
The iOS 26 update was available for me a couple days or so before this happened. I didn't update yet because I just didn't feel like it. Couple days later, I was trying to unlock my phone one day as normal. For some reason the passcode just was not working anymore, as if it had changed on its own. By this point I had only remembered the muscle memory of typing in my passcode for as long as I had my phone. Even then I know I was typing it in correctly because I was just using it about a minute or two before this happened. Anyways, I obviously couldn't get into my phone and the only way was to restore. I hadn't done a recent backup so I was freaking out, not realizing I had everything current on my MacBook and that restoring would have been fine. So I tried the recovery method thinking I wouldn't have to restore.
I connect my phone to my MacBook and it says there's a problem or something with my phone that updating it could fix. Mind you my phone has been working normally since I got it. Anyhow, obviously I update it through my MacBook. And when my phone finally turns on I'm in recovery mode. I tried it multiple times but it always says recovery failed. It's weird because before starting the recovery I have to type in my passcode and verify it (by typing it again) but I've typed in wrong passcodes and I still got through to the actual recovering process. Idk if that matters because all attempts never worked.
I've tried all methods I could find online with holding down buttons. However, my phone doesn't show up on my macbook like it did before when I connected it. So those methods with connecting it to a computer I'm unable to do. Also, everything time I restart my phone it automatically is locked for 15 minutes.
I'm really hoping there's a foolproof way to get my phone back before I'm forced to going to the Apple Store... Please if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
