Anxious for anatomy scan after soft marker
Hi everyone ☺️ today I’m just looking for some advice on how to calm nerves and anxiety before anatomy scan and the waiting for the results.
For context: last Monday we went for our anatomy scan at 19 weeks, baby didn’t cooperate and we had to go back the next day, they were able to take some more measurements but not all of them so we are going back tomorrow.
Thursday I got a call from my doctor to inform my that on Monday they flagged echogenic bowel on the ultrasound, the rest of the measurements were normal, but they are still missing the face and heart measurements so we are hoping they are able to take those tomorrow and they are normal. I’m so scared and sad, I had two early losses before this pregnancy and I’m a FTM so I’m terrified of something bad happening. I would like to add that my NIPT was low risk for everything and NT was perfect.
I struggle with health anxiety and I have OCD so unfortunately I’ve been obsessing and ruminating a lot about this.
Has anyone experienced something similar? how did you deal with the uncertainty and wait? Any tips or positive stories?
Thank you so much and wishing healthy and uneventful pregnancies to all of you.
