Washing king size blanket and comforter (separately)

Pre-Purchase Questions

In our current rental unit, we have a terrible (I assume GE) top-load washtower that gets unbalanced even with the lightest of the loads. The machines in our apartment are new (have them since June 2025) and they broke once since then due to unbalanced loads. While washing a king size blanket (dry weight less than 2 lbs), the suspension rod just broke during the spin cycle.

Now that we are moving to a new house, we will go back to front loaders because we have to wash a king size blanket (dry weight 2 lbs) and king size Ikea comforter (dry weight about 3-4 lbs, model here : https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/stjaernbraecka-duvet-insert-warm-90458103/?gad\_source=1&gad\_campaignid=22407012368&gbraid=0AAAAAD27g7w2W0AUNpWa5yjO0tatwXEyH&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkMjOBhC5ARIsADIdb3cua1XH\_VizaNEB19-rcew1eDq9LAlVSdofFauHSa\_dKWmunY324jcaAjy7EALw\_wcB) separately every month or so.

We decided to buy 5.2 cu ft LG washer and 9 cu ft LG dryer. And want to make sure this washer and dryer combo can handle a thin blanket and a thin comforter separately.

Our previous top loader(old GE) and previous front loader (Ariston Hot Point) which were much smaller than 5.2 cu ft was able to handle the weight of these. But want to make sure as we had such massive problems with GE.
