Now that I think about it, Hyunji got a lot of hate for the most absurd reasons.

I've been watching this series right after Season 1 ended because I really really liked the concept and I love some drama although I never participated in any discussions here on Reddit or X (although I read them) because I cannot exactly comprehend how these non-celebrities and ordinary people are getting so much hate because they did not act how viewers wanted them to act.

Now that the show has ended and it's been more than 2 months since it ended, a lot of things have been explained and I realized how much false information was spread and how Hyunji got so much hate for it. I'm only talking about her because she's the only one who got a lot of rumors about her life before the show and how it affected how viewers viewed her and how she got a lot of hate.

There were rumors that she was faking her background as a flight attendant. Turns out she's indeed a flight attendant for Korean Air who just got out of a flight from Las Vegas right before she entered the house and she didn't quit her job right away because she also said that she only filed for a leave and went back to her job a day after she got back in Seoul. It was only later when she quit her job, and she has to because it's in Korean Air policy.

There were rumors that she used her connections in order to join the show because she's friends with Juwon. Turns out she was sent a message and the staff even commented on her post. Someone here was even spreading fake info that she's Ailee's friend and someone explained that they just misunderstood what they actually meant.

There were also rumors that she cheated on Baekhyun with Seungyong. Well, Baekhyun and her broke up in December 2020. She met Seungyong during her trip to Japan in January 2023.

There are even rumors that she's been preparing to be an actress for a long time and she loves clubbing without any proof or photos of her.

What's more absurd is that I've seen people saying that all these bad rumors about her must be true because the rumor that she's a flight attendant and her ex is a doctor is true. Like, did you all not learn logic statements and truth tables?
