SB1000 Pro vs PB1000 Pro for smallish room with corner tv and sub placement
My room is 13x13x9.5. TV is in corner with sub behind it. Really only place to put the sub is behind the tv. The space opens to the right if the tv into the dining room and ultimately the kitchen. Walls are plaster.
Chat tells me sb would be better as the corner placement already adds a good bit of boom. I often watch movies but this is also the main tv room where we watch shows as a family and rarely at loud “theater” volume. Will be upgrading from an onkyo htib ported sub (skw580). Will tours be a significant upgrade or would the pb be a better option? I’ve read where pb is better for home theater but my concern there is the opening to the dining room would decrease the impact of pressurization. Leaning towards tighter cleaner bass of the sb but still thinking this would be a significant upgrade from my existing sub. Size is another contributing factor. I’ve measured and the pb will fit but tightly. I won’t be able to pull it off the wall.
Thanks!
