Oglive’s lost patient and not judging a book by its cover

Spoiler📺 Season 2 Discussion

I hate to be this person but I feel like what’s wrong with humanity in this day and age is jumping to conclusions. Now keep in mind I understand this is a TV show and people should watch it as such. However I think Olglive and his lost patient is a great example of how complex characters are and how PEOPLE are in general. We are seeing one day in these people’s lives. If someone followed you around with an invisible camera for one day and everything you did and said was broadcast to all the world would you see them at face value or give them the benefit of the doubt when something non-traditional is said or done, knowing there is still years this person has lived that you have NOT seen

I connect this to Oglvie because he lost someone who he saw his father in. That patient taught English just as his father does/did he made clear that he doesn’t not speak to him whether that means he is dead or there is a turbulent relationship. Maybe he is so obnoxious and eager to share his knowledge because he could never impress his father, or he was pushed aside unless he was something great.

The same could be said for santos and others on the show. But most importantly for all people real or fake.

End of rant
