I read it on a whim when I saw it while browsing MAL. I thought the cover was pretty and saw it was only 4 volumes, so I thought I may as well give it a shot. And I can now say 4 volumes wasn't enough

It was so god damn cute. Every chapter had something that made me feel super happy in it. Mai and Lily's relationship is the sweetest thing I've read in a while, and both of them are very entertaining as their own characters too. Also shoutout to Runa not being a device for forced drama and love triangle bs. I really thought she would be, but instead we got her deal taken care of early on with some aro rep to go with it, so big fan of that.

All of that said...>!JESUS FUCKING CHRIST DID THE LAST COUPLE CHAPTERS GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK. Having Mai get hit by a truck when everything before this was pure diabetes was a complete slap in the face, and I don’t know what I would have done if Lily actually died to save her. Thankfully it didn't do that and we got a satisfying happy ending. I really liked Lily's devil side going away to affirm her love for Mai is wholly genuine. Maybe the whole two souls thing was a little asspull-y, but in full honesty I do not give a shit, I'd rather I still be happy after all of that then get hit with instant depression in the name of the manga being more tightly written!<

So yeah overall very enjoyable read, I will now be prowling for more stories to make me feel the same way

\~\~Oh also Lily's mom was hot af\~\~

Just finished reading My Gilfriend is Devilishly Sweet. I absolutely loved it
