Is it true that DNA & genetic tests are forbidden in France?

I read yesterday somewhere that over the counter genetic ancestry DNA tests like 23&me are forbidden in France.

The argument was that because of the culturally accepted maîtresse culture (sorry if this is said inaccurately) and the country wanting to preserve families, they banned those tests.

I personally couldn't believe it.
