Has Mick ever spoke in depth about the blues?
Keith has been asked extensively about his love of the blues- understandably, as this is Keith’s primary interest, along with country music and early rock and roll.
However, at least to my knowledge I don’t think Mick has been asked about his interest and taste in the blues as much, most likely because he has a much more diverse taste in music. However, I’d be very curious to learn which blues artists Mick is influenced by- there are hints that he make have different / orthogonal blues influences relative to Keith.
For example, Mick’s fantastic harp playing calls to mind Little Walter- but not sure if he’s spoken about this directly. More generally I wonder about Mick’s opinions regarding blues influence on the Stones relative to other genres- country? Dance music? Rock and roll? How does it all fit together for him specifically? Again, many thoughts from Keith on this but less so Mick AFAIK.
